Project Name: The Block 2026 | House 1

🏆 WINNERS of Pool & Outdoor Terrace week! 🏆
Landscaper: Brodie Young Design
Plungie is proud to be the official Pool Supplier of The Block 2026.
Adam and Jolene brought relaxed coastal living to House 1, creating an outdoor space that feels right at home in its Mount Eliza setting.
At the heart of it all sits their 6m x 3m Plungie Max – giving this backyard plenty of room for a proper swim, while leaving space around it for lounging, entertaining and long summer afternoons.

Key project elements
A Little Pattern Goes a Long Way
Finished in our light Sahara Sand ecoFinish, the Max keeps things fresh and bright, while Adam and Jolene added their own twist with a checked waterline tile.
It’s a small detail with plenty of personality, adding contrast against the soft coastal palette, warm timber decking and crisp stone coping.
Semi-recessing the Max also brings the pool up to meet the level of the home and expansive deck – making the whole outdoor area feel like one seamless space.
Summer Hosting, Sorted
Why keep the alfresco away from the action? Adam and Jolene brought theirs right down poolside, complete with an outdoor kitchen, BBQ, island bench and bar seating overlooking the iconic view.
Add loungers, comfy chairs and plenty of deck space into the mix, and there’s a spot for everyone – whether you’re first in the pool, firing up the BBQ or firmly committed to the sun lounger!
House 1 has entertaining well and truly covered.
We asked Adam & Jolene a few questions about their Plungie experience on The Block, here's what they said...
"We couldn't be happier with the end result, and we're so grateful they were part of our Block journey!"
What inspired the look and feel of your outdoor space?
"Adam grew up in Mission Beach in Far North Queensland, where a lot of homes have their pools out the front overlooking the beach. So, I think we both had a bit of that in the back of our minds when we started designing our outdoor space.
We really wanted to create that relaxed coastal resort feel but but also make it practical for everyday living. We love entertaining, so having somewhere you could get everyone together, enjoy a few drinks, have a BBQ or just sit back and take in those incredible views was really important to us."
What else did you consider when designing the space?
"We wanted to design the Plungie Max, so it worked well with our large outdoor kitchen and entertaining area. It was important that the whole space flowed together, making it easy to entertain family and friends while enjoying those incredible views."
Are you happy with how it all came together? Do you have a favourite detail?
"Absolutely! We couldn't be happier with how it all came together. There were definitely moments when we wondered how on earth, we were going to get it all finished, but seeing the end result made it all worthwhile.
I absolutely love the Sahara Sand colour we chose for the Plungie Max. It works so well with our Mount Eliza brief and ties in beautifully with the decking and outdoor entertaining area. I think the pool really finishes off the whole space, and standing back looking at it all with that incredible view was pretty special."
If you could do it all again, would you change anything?
"Probably wouldn't attempt to build an entire pool entertainment area in a week again! 😂 But seriously, we wouldn't change a thing. We love how it all turned out, and that probably says it all because we're already planning on putting the exact same Plungie Max in our own backyard back home in Mission Beach!"
