For architect Steph Ottavio and husband Gian, choosing a Plungie for their future family home felt like a natural next step.

After featuring a Plungie Original in their winning backyard on The Block 2023, they chose the Original once again for their Japandi Estate project – this time, for a home designed entirely for themselves.

Flowing directly from the home's living area and alfresco space, the pool feels like a true extension of the indoors.

It’s private, inviting and always within sight - creating their own little backyard oasis for morning dips, long summer afternoons and a space to create plenty of memories for their young family.

We sat down with Steph Ottavio, Founder of SjO Architects and Japandi Estate, to hear why Plungie made the cut for her own newly renovated home.
