10 Plunge Pools Installed in days, not weeks: How Plungie Delivered Big on The Block 2025

Chosen for the third-year running, Plungie is once again the official pool partner of The Block (and with good reason). When you're producing one of Australia's most-watched renovation shows, every element needs to deliver on speed, quality, and style – Plungie pools do all three.

Each pool featured on The Block 2025 was prefabricated in our Brisbane warehouse, built under strict quality controls before being delivered to the site. This off-site approach is what makes our pools unique: they arrive fully built and ready to install, cutting weeks (sometimes months) off traditional construction timelines.

It's not just about speed. Plungie pools are recognised by top Australian architects and builders for their modern design and premium finishes, with several award-winning projects.

Same pools, endless possibilities: Plungie Max & Plungie Quad

This season brought something new: for the first time, every house received not one, but two Plungie models, our largest and smallest pools, the Plungie Max and Plungie Quad. It was a design challenge with a twist: give each team the same pool foundations and let creativity take over.

For The Block 2025, functionality and lifestyle were at the core of the design. Our newest plunge pool, the Quad was chosen due to its hot and cold functionality, meaning it can double as a cold plunge or hot tub. Making it perfect for contrast therapy, spa-style relaxation, or a warm soak under the stars.

The goal? To show that no matter the backyard size, layout, or style, a Plungie can elevate the space and unlock year-round lifestyle value. And as The Block contestants proved, the same pool can feel completely different depending on how you finish it.

House 1 – Emma & Ben – Bold and Moody Meets Classic Living

Dynamic duo Emma and Ben took their backyard to the next level, designing their backyards so their Plungie Quad and Max seamlessly integrated to create a true entertainer's paradise. The Quad sits proudly as the centrepiece of the yard, cleverly anchoring the outdoor space and maximising the flow of their generous backyard.

To complement their home's bold exterior, Emma and Ben selected our striking Perle Noir ecoFinish™, giving both pools a moody, sophisticated edge. The dark, glossy finish ties in perfectly with the architectural lines of their house, creating a cohesive, high-end look.

Designed with entertaining in mind, their dual-Plungie setup offers distinct zones for guests to relax, socialise, and take a dip. From poolside seating to flowing pathways, every element of the backyard invites you to gather, cool off, and linger a little longer.

House 2 – Han & Can – Tranquil Japanese-Inspired Backyard Design

Han and Can created a peaceful outdoor space with a Japanese-inspired design that’s all about balance and flow. Their Plungie Max and Quad features our Kona Coast ecoFinish™ and sits at the centre, framed by sandstone pavers that connect the pool to a custom-built fireplace and cabana.

The pool area feels calm and considered, but still full of personality. Their bold choice of checkered coping tiles adds a pop of pattern and contrast, bringing a fun twist to the otherwise serene palette. Around the edges, grass and large feature rocks soften the space, while timber arbours, inspired by Japanese touring gates, add structure and a sense of arrival.

This backyard shows how a Plungie can be the anchor of a thoughtfully layered space, effortlessly blending with cultural influences and custom finishes to reflect the homeowner’s style. It’s proof that the same pool can feel totally different in the right hands.

House 3 – Britt & Taz - European Simplicity Meets Scandinavian Soul

Perth couple, Britt and Taz, delivered a backyard that feels effortlessly curated, where every detail serves a purpose, and the result is calm, confident, and quietly luxurious. Drawing from their Modern Organic Luxury style, their pool area is wrapped in rich, dark-toned timber that adds warmth and depth, contrasted beautifully by crisp white elements that reflect their home's refined European-Scandi palette.

At the heart of their design sits a dual Plungie setup, featuring both the Max and the Quad. The Quad, finished in moody French Grey ecoFinish™, adds a grounded, architectural feel, while the Max, in soft Kona Coast, offers a lighter, more open contrast; together, they create balance and flow. The use of colour, texture, and placement doesn't just complement the exterior of the home; it unites the entire property.

From the symmetry of the pool layout to the clean outdoor styling, their design is proof that even bold choices can feel serene when executed with precision. The result is a true outdoor centrepiece; thoughtful, textural, and made to be lived in.

House 4 – Sonny & Alicia - Classic Charm with a Contemporary Twist

Sonny and Alicia's backyard offered a fresh take on timeless design, delivering a pool area that feels inviting, practical, and effortlessly put together. With a more traditional layout at its core, their pool space is framed with classic brick pavers, adding texture and contrast against the soft tones of their Sahara Sand ecoFinish™. The result? A warm, familiar aesthetic with just the right touch of modern polish.

Positioned just off their alfresco entertaining zone, the pool feels like a natural extension of the home, perfectly placed for a quick dip before lunch or a relaxed sunset soak. The layout is all about flow and function, creating a central hub that connects indoor living with outdoor leisure. Proof that you don't need to reinvent the wheel to create something that feels original, elevated, and completely your own.

House 5 – Robby & Mat - A Serene Escape Framed by Nature

Best mates Robby and Mat brought their signature energy to the backyard, creating a space that’s made for good times. While they chose the same ecoFinish™ colours as Britt and Taz (French Grey for their Quad and Kona Coast for their Max), their backyard feels entirely unique.

Their design leans into fun and functionality, with light pavers and soft landscaping that frame the pools without overcomplicating the space. It’s open, bright and incredibly inviting, the kind of layout that encourages laid-back afternoons, casual catch ups, and the occasional cannonball.

Their pools sit effortlessly within the flow of the yard, proving that you don’t have to sacrifice style to keep things simple. Robby and Mat’s backyard show how a Plungie can be both a design hero and a backdrop for everyday fun.

When you choose Plungie, you’re choosing peace of mind that your pool is here for the long haul – backed by our 10-year structural and internal ecoFinish™ warranty. That’s why builders across Australia continue to choose Plungie, they know our pools make installs simpler, cut down on labour and site disruption, and deliver homeowners with a standout pool they'll enjoy for years to come.

Key Takeaways for Homeowners, Builders & Designers

Can a plunge pool work in a big backyard?

Yes, and The Block 2025 proved it. Homes with larger outdoor spaces used the Plungie Max to great effect, while our compact Quad can be positioned as a bold centrepiece surrounded by generous landscaping and entertaining zones. With clean lines and architectural finishes, the Max holds its own in any setting (big or small).

Do all plunge pools end up looking the same?

Not even close. This season, every contestant received the same pool models (the Max and the Quad), yet no two backyards looked alike. From moody, tiled spa zones to bright, timber-wrapped resort vibes, each team styled their pool to match their home's aesthetic. That's the beauty of a Plungie: the structure stays consistent, but the finish is all yours.

How quickly can a Plungie be installed?

Fast. Like, 10 pools installed in a matter of days, fast. Unlike traditional concrete pools that take weeks or months to pour, cure, and tile, Plungie pools are precast off-site in our Brisbane facility and arrive ready to be craned into place. That means less time on-site, fewer trades to coordinate, and a lot less mess.

What makes Plungie different from other prefab pools?

Plungie isn’t just another prefab pool. Unlike fibreglass or repurposed concrete tanks, our patented design is purpose-built, lighter, stronger, and watertight with no cold joints. Backed by a premium concrete mix, ecoFinish™ options, and a 10-year warranty, our pools deliver unbeatable speed, style, and strength.

Why do builders choose Plungie?

Because it makes their lives easier. Plungie cuts down on labour, timelines, and cost blowouts, without compromising quality. Every pool comes engineered, certified, and backed by a 10-year structural and interior finish warranty, which means fewer headaches and happier clients.
